With our new Mobile Banking text service, it's easy to access details about your MBNA credit card account, even if you're not near your home or PC. This service gives you quick up-to-date information about your credit card account anytime, anywhere.
Best of all the Mobile Banking text service is available to all MBNA and partner credit card holders - all we need is your mobile number. For details on how to use this service you can follow our step by step 'How to Get Started' guide.
MBNA's Mobile Banking text service offers three text responses to help keep you informed of your latest credit card activity while you're on the move, including:
Latest Balance - out shopping or planning a purchase? Check you have available credit by requesting a balance and available credit update via text.
Recent Transactions - review your most recent transactions via text, helping you monitor your spending and identify any fraudulent use.
Payment Information - wondering when your next payment is due? View your latest payment details while you're out and about.

How to Receive Updates
If we hold an up to date record of your mobile number, you can get the latest information about your MBNA credit card account by text message now and on demand*.
Simply text 0872390524 for account information on the following topics:
- Text Bal for your balance, credit limit and available credit
- Text Trans for your most recent transactions
- Text Bill for your payment information
Remember to save 0872390524 as a contact in your phone for quick access to your account information when you're out and about.
Need to know what your balance is while you are abroad? You can stay up to date with your account information by texting the number in its international dialling format: +353872390524
Multiple MBNA Accounts
If you have more than one MBNA or partner credit card then you'll also need to include the last four digits of your credit card number in your text message. This will ensure we reply with the account information you want.
For example: text Bal 1234 to 0872390524.

Do you have a question?
The Mobile Banking text service* is available to all MBNA and partner credit card holders - all we need is your mobile number. Please ensure we have an up to date record of this number.
- If we have your latest mobile number you're already set up to use our Mobile Banking text service - to get started just text Bal, Trans or Bill to 0872390524.
- If we do not have an up to date record of your mobile number or you simply need to view our current records, you will need to log in or enrol in Online Banking. Then follow our 5 easy steps to update your mobile number.
This process should take no longer than five minutes.
- Login to your Online Banking account or if you are a new customer enrol in Online Banking
- Visit the 'Manage Account' tab
- Visit 'My Contact Details'
- Click the 'Change Telephone Number' button
- Add/amend your phone number/s and click proceed
Once you have successfully updated your mobile number you can begin discovering the benefits of our Mobile Banking text service by texting Bal, Trans or Bill to 0872390524.
You can also update your mobile phone details by calling the number on the back of your credit card.
