As always, you have zero fraud liability whenever using your card and are enrolled in free active fraud monitoring. Rest assured that you are covered should you be the victim of fraudulent activity. Just be sure to let us know as soon as you notice any unusual transactions or if your card is missing.

Your card is accepted at over 20 million retail outlets and over 630,000 ATMs in most countries throughout the world.
Emergency Travel Assistance
We can provide medical or legal referrals while abroad or help you get a message home in an emergency situation. You can contact us 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for this assistance. See your terms and conditions booklet for more details.
Emergency Card Replacement and Emergency Cash
If your credit card is lost or stolen and you require a replacement card or emergency cash while on holiday, don’t worry as we’re here to help. We can send you a replacement card to most countries throughout the world and often within 48 hours. Additionally we can arrange for you to collect cash (up to 95% of your available credit limit) from a local emergency service location.
Travel Flag Service — let us know before you go
Be sure to let us know you are going on holiday as we can make using your credit card abroad easier with MBNA Travel Flag. This is because many fraudulent transactions originate overseas so when we see an overseas transaction we sometimes have to query it. By letting us know in advance that you're going away, we can place a special flag on your account that helps to reduce any possible inconvenience you might experience when you use your card overseas. It's easy to notify us via our Secure Messaging service within Online Banking or by giving us a call. Please note that we can only flag that you are travelling abroad 7 business days in advance of your departure.
To let us know online, simply log in to your Online Banking account (you will need to enrol if you haven't done so already) and select:
- 'My Messages'
- 'New Message'
- 'My holiday/travelling abroad' from the menu
